I still haven't gotten to sorting out my travel pictures but here are some for those who are interested.

Vasco da Gama, the great Portuguese explorer was first buried at St. Francis Church in Fort Kochin, Kerala. But his remains were later returned to the Jerónimos Monastery in Belém Lisbon, Portugal.

So here are some pictures I took of his first tomb at St. Francis Church. The church was really dark and I could hardly move around. I saw some amazing Victorian era things but sadly I couldn't get close enough to take pictures. So here are the ones I managed to capture with my mobile phone.

The church from the outside. Actually the church was closed to the public but we managed to talk ourselves in.

These are supposed to be Victorian era tiles in the church. But they still look amazing for such old tiles so I am not sure to when they date back to. However, they still looked beautiful. The camera didn't pick up the colours well, but in person the colours were rich.

I am really not sure what this was as we didn't have a tour guide, but it looked really nice. If anyone knows what this is ... please let me know in the comments below. I am thinking, maybe a drinking fountain or ... holy water basin ... I have no idea.

These were the best part of the church at least in my view. Amazing amazing amazing! stone carvings. I don't know what say but they were extremely ornate and breathtaking. The code of arms! How crazy is that. I stood there staring at them until my mother had to snap me out of it.

Last but not least, the tomb itself. The tomb was covered with dust but there were some writings or carvings on it which the camera didn't pick up.

The whole experience was beautiful. However I was a little disappointed with the way the place was kept. They made little to no effort to preserve history. The whole church was dusty and unkempt. The tomb and relics were not guarded. People were touching and knocking on it. I wished they would do something about it.

yeah seems like a catholic church perhaps... then would be holywater, they use the water that they used for baptizing people on easter and it supposedly lasts the whole year heh

The stone carvings look like tomb markers. My guess is, the bodies have been removed and only the markers remain. Great pictures.

I think learning about new things amazing but when it comes to religion and culture there is always a unseen threshold one must be mindful of. Respecting the boundaries is a very important thing. It is scary when one's embracing or fascination can be easily taken as insulting.

For example, it is currently a holy month and Hindus and Buddhist fast for the entire month. I won't go into the details and significance of it. Anyway a colleague of mine wanted to fast together with me because she found it interesting. At first it sounded a nice idea but somewhere along the way it didn't turn out right. She was doing it out of fascination and dropout out halfway because she could not follow through.

I am extremely upset and I am trying not let it get to me but it is really hard. I am happy that she is interested in learning about my religion and culture but she should be more sensitive. Anyone for the matter of fact should be more sensitive towards another's religion on beliefs.

The next thing she wants to do is it wear an Sanskrit Ohm pendent just like mine. My chain and pendent is in pure gold and she wants to get one in silver at match her outfits. People don't understand that wearing a religious ornament is not supposed to a fashion statement. Even I can't wear it at all times. I remove my chain and beads during certain times of the month when the body and mind is considered to be unclean.

I honestly want to tell her off but I can't tell her what to do. I honestly wish she would admire and learn from a distant but I don't want to be rude either. I should probably just ignore her but it is hard to stand there and not feel insulted. This is such a sensitive topic. Or it could just the wolf in me trying to protect my territory ... *fake laughs and rolls eyes*.

My mum says this is part of my own learning. Maybe I am being tested. Tolerance and abandoning emotions during the fasting month is part of the routine anyway. I don't know. I have done this all whole my life but this particular year is really putting my faith to test.

This is so freaking hilarious! I laughed so hard that I got a migraine.

Guy : Is everything ok, babe?

Girl : Yes totally. The dog is loving your squeaky dick.

Girl : DUCK! The duck you got her!

I spent the evening watching Clumsy Thumbsy segments from The Ellen Show. I haven't laughed so much in such a long time.

I have a habit of reading reviews before buying skincare products. But it annoys me when I get mixed reviews. I understand that products work differently on different individuals. But it makes it harder for me to decide.

I am in need of a good eye cream to get rid dark eye circles and fine lines. I don't mind spending money as long as it works.

Currently I am considering a few products.

~ ORIGINS GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream

~ ESTEE LAUDER Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum

~ LANCÔME GÉNIFIQUE EYE Youth Activating Eye Concentrate

~ SK-II Skin Signature Eye Cream

~ Algenist Eye Renewal Balm

~ Fresh Lotus Eye Gel

~ Shiseido White Lucent Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream

I have checked out most of the youtube reviews and blog reviews and I am still not close to deciding.

In the meantime I am going to fall back on the good old home remedies of green tea bags and potato. Hopefully I can make up my mind ... before the Sephora sale ends.

All of the items you've listed are targeted for older women/skin. why do you need to use any of this stuff now? As preventive measures? lol

Hmmm ... I rather have hands on me.

Tried the uDiva massage chair ... it wasn't all that impressive. Despite having the Lo-Med-Hi selection options ... I just couldn't find the perfect pressure.

Feeling spoiled rotten and honestly not feeling bad at all.

I am having a MiMi moment right now and it's exactly the pick-me-up I needed.

Guilt free shopping + Princess Mode = Cubby + Bonus Pay :D

Kose, SK II, Shiseido, Burberry, Micheal Kors ... why? Because I am worth every single cent. I have worked like crazy for a year and I deserve to pamper myself. Not sure whether it was worth the dark eye circles, sleepless nights and stress ... but I'm living in the moment and right now I'm feeling happy.

Tomorrow I'm bringing my mum out for dinner and shopping. We will be going out to a vegetarian restaurant and of course to the goldsmith. It's an Indian thing lol.
